Porcelain

Porcelain
Porcelain was first made in China in the 6th century, and by the 17th century the expertise to make it had arrived in Europe. European makers took the creative possiblities of porcelain to new heights, creating decorative and functional pieces of exceptional artistic merit.

Porcelain of both Chinese and European origin were cherished in early America. At the Ball & Claw we offer fine, hand-decorated examples of both styles.
